  • My Experience

With over 30 years of experience in the substance use and mental health fields, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities of healing and growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and my Master’s in Community Health Education from Cleveland State University, followed by a Master’s in School Counseling from the University of Western Alabama. My professional journey has included roles in both clinical and educational settings, where I’ve supported individuals, families, and students in developing healthier coping strategies and stronger support systems. As an Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Substance Abuse Professional, I specialize in conducting assessments and providing recommendations for the Department of Transportation. My diverse background allows me to integrate practical tools with compassion and insight across both mental health and substance use recovery work.

My Story

I consider it a true privilege to be part of a community that nurtures and uplifts others

A woman with curly brown hair, wearing a brown lace top, sitting on a beige sofa, holding a book titled 'The Greatest Self-Help Book', with a laptop in front of her.

Professionally, I began my career as a social worker and quickly discovered my passion for working in education with students and families. Every day in this field has been a meaningful and fulfilling experience. I consider it a true privilege to be part of a community that nurtures and uplifts others—a philosophy I carry with me into private practice. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them find, strengthen, and build their own village of support as they navigate their healing journey.

Personally, one thing on my bucket list is to travel abroad to different countries and learn how other cultures support mental health. I truly believe we should never stop learning.
